Krisdianto adalah Peneliti Ahli Madya bidang kepakaran pengolahan hasil hutan kayu dan bukan kayu di Puslitbang Hasil Hutan, Badan Penellitian, Pengembangan dan Inovasi, Kementerian Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan. Penelitiannya mengenai karakteristik dan pengolahan bahan lignoselulosa dari hutan, yaitu kayu, bambu, dan rotan. Saat ini, Krisdianto mendapatkan penugasan sebagai Pelaksana Tugas (Plt.) Kepala Bagian Program dan Kerjasama di Sekretariat Badan Litbang. Selain menjadi Dewan Redaksi pada beberapa jurnal ilmiah, Krisdianto juga menjadi editor pada beberapa seminar internasional dan nasional.
